Ok people! Let’s get on with it. Time to move forward or to at least be in the moment. Right?

The past is the past. It won’t change. The layoff was unavoidable - the job is gone. Pneumonia came and went. Hurricane Irma happened. The man I loved left. That’s it. It can’t be changed.

Onward.

Where am I or Where I am

So I’m back, and not sure where to start. I think the last time I wrote was during Covid. It’s now 2024. Since then, I have dated at least one wrong person and gone out with many more wrong people. I secured a full-time job (finally) in local news and have laid to rest my remaining sailboat and my father.

I wear a mask everywhere - today, i played hockey for the first time in months and I felt judged for the mask I wore as I got dressed and as soon as I took my helmet off. I didn’t shake hands; I didn’t hug. I will keep wearing it. It protects you and me. This isn’t over. CDC latest guidelines: “The guidelines repeat earlier advice about wearing face coverings, especially if it’s difficult to keep at least 6 feet away from other people. They also offers a list of questions people should consider before going out, and some things to think about in particular situations. For example, it suggests that house parties be held outside, guests be greeted with a wave instead of a hug and that everyone bring their own food and drinks.”
